Conor McGregor Just Threatened To Behead His Next Opponent
January 12, 2016
UFC 197 can’t come soon enough. The main event pitting UFC featherweight champ Conor McGregor and UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. And in typical Conor McGregor fashion, he wasted no time in starting the trash talk.
A mere seconds after the UFC officially announced the fight between he and dos Anjos, McGregor took to his Facebook and immediately ripped dos Anjos, calling him a “traitor” to his fellow Brazilians and vowing to “behead” him in the name of “La Brasilia.” To make things more amusing? He continuously referred to himself in 3rd person as “Mr. McGregor” during the entire post.
“[Mr. McGregor] has chosen to dedicate this demolition job to the loyal people of Brazil and all the fans around the globe who stay true to their roots and loyal to their land,” McGregor’s post said. “Mr. McGregor has said that Rafael is a traitor to his people and vows to “behead the ‘American Gringo’ Rafael Dos Anjos, in the name of La Brasilia!””
McGregor is slowly but surely becoming public enemy number 1 for Brazilians, especially after all of the trash talk he threw at another Brazilian named Jose Aldo, whom McGregor defeated via a 13 second knockout back in December, taking his featherweight title in the process.
If McGregor defeats dos Anjos, he would become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two UFC titles in separate weight classes.
Dos Anjos is coming off a 66-second TKO of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the main event of UFC on FOX 17 back in December and won the belt via a one sided unanimous decision over Anthony Pettis at UFC 185 in March of last year.
