GGG's trainer: GGG-JCC Jr. a "spectacular fight," "fight of my dreams!"

Apparently everybody wants a piece of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.!

Yesterday, we discussed the possibility of a fight between “The Son of the Legend” and Canelo Alvarez.  Chavez called out Canelo and Gennady Golovkin after he beat Dominik Britsch on Saturday.  Canelo’s promoter tentatively said they would be interested in the fight, and now Golovkin’s trainer Abel Sanchez said that he would really like to see the fight.

“Chavez Jr. could happen in May [after the fight with Danny Jacobs that is being negotiated], but they should talk with Tom to see if it can be done.  That is the fight of my dreams, I think the styles will gel very well and it will be a spectacular fight,” Sanchez told ESPN Deportes.

Chavez Jr and Golovkin had previously negotiated a fight in 2014, but Chavez fell into a contract dispute with Top Rank so it never happened.  Chavez is now with Al Haymon.

Pretty strange fight to call the fight of your dreams.  I guess it has something to do with Sanchez being Mexican.  I just hope Golovkin gets at one or two legitimately big fights next year, because a fight with the irrelevant Chavez Jr. certainly isn’t one.
